The Mystery of Shutter Island

1954, two policemen Edward Daniels and his new colleague, Chuck Aul, arrive on the island where an asylum is housed. The reason, the disappearance of a patient, Rachel Solando. The detectives walk through the doors of the hospital and feel themselves "imprisoned" by a storm that forces them to stay there. Investigations continue at the asylum with interrogations of the patients and its grounds; but Daniels took on the case with a deeper purpose beyond Rachel's disappearance.
The film intrigued me from the first moment because of the names and the plot. The mystery and lack of clues in the case makes you wonder and look forward to what's next at the same time. The grey clouds in an inhospitable place makes you find yourself in a spooky situation and the faces of the people as far as Daniel is concerned, make him seem like their common enemy. And the ending and its revelation leaves you with your mouth hanging open. Closing the teepee with a quote that was a punch to the stomach from the protagonist, which is, "This place makes me wonder, which would be worse,to live as a monster or to die as a good man?"
The film is worth watching twice to get the full meaning and to notice the hidden parts that Scorsese had in the film. I wish I could see it for the first time.
