Lazareta

Lazareta: The Biography of a Dancer I am Zeta, or for the dance world, Lazareta. From an early age, I have been attracted to the art of dance. I began my first exposure to ballet and rhythm in first grade. Although I enjoyed dance from the beginning, the search for a style that would fully express me was a constant quest. During my school years, I also dabbled in traditional dances, enriching my dance background with various techniques and forms of expression. In high school, I first came into contact with oriental dance, albeit for a short period of time. This experience opened up a new horizon for me, which fascinated me deeply. As an adult, I attempted to return to dance, trying oriental again. Despite my love for dance, life circumstances forced me to take a temporary break. However, dance has never ceased to be a part of my life and remains an art that I hope to continue to practice more consistently in the future. For me, dance is a way of expression and freedom. Through dance, I can express my emotions and connect with myself and others in a unique way. Dance will always have a special place in my heart and is an integral aspect of my identity. The nickname "Lazareta" came about after a health issue I faced. My strength at that time was dance. Despite the difficulties, I kept going to my classes. My teacher, Samira Masreya, named me "Lazareta" because of my resilience and determination to keep going. Thus, the nickname Lazareta was born, symbolizing my strength and rebirth through dance. I want to express my deepest gratitude to my teacher, Samira Masreya, for the unending support, guidance and inspiration she has offered me all this time. Her help has been invaluable and her presence has been instrumental in my development as a dancer.

I would also like to thank the Bellyhood dance group, who welcomed me with open arms and inspired me to do my best. The support and cooperation of the group is a source of strength and motivation for me.
