Finishing up from last night's live show the only thought that has been left in my mind is only one....PUNK NEVER DIES!!!! From the beginning of the show to the end, the crowd knew what punk was all about and they showed it in spades, from the very first band that took the stage.
GUILTY NOIZ where with their characteristic sound and their unique way of expressing their themes they made us understand what Greek punk is like, thus giving us feelings of pleasure and optimism for the special Greek music scene of the future.
Afterwards THE CASUALTIES took the stage where already from the soundcheck they put on you could understand that the band is not joking. As soon as they started, the crowd applauded them and started to beat again, even louder and more intense than before. The rhythm and the sound of the band was so specific that it gave you feelings of liberation and created a state of mind where you wanted to beat even more with the rest of the band. The situation that THE CASUALTIES created with the audience was simply indescribable, there was no order and logic anywhere in front of the stage. A chaos was created with the crowd going wild to the max as they were not interested in anything at all but to get out their frustrations. This was exactly the attitude the band wanted from their audience as I remember the singer shouting at us not to stop this mosh pit until tomorrow morning! This excellent mood lasted until the end, to the point where now the band recognized the worthiness of their audience. giving us the opportunity to play with them. I remember at one point the singer had come down from the stage and split us in two.... The man wanted wall of death.....and that's what he got.
When the concert was over the only feelings that dominated each of us were those of pleasure and joy as it all seemed like surviving a battle. For me, this concert was something different and admirable and I would love to see such concerts organized more often in the future in the city of Larissa.
