Alexandra Miliopoulou

For me, painting initially helped me to express my problems and concerns on a surface. Although I recognized myself as a painter very early on, even though my studies in the technique of
academic painting had impressive results, I kept repeating that 'I want to be a painter', without really understanding my desire at the time!

Many years later, taking care of cleaning my inner channel, the elements of self-awareness that began to appear, and my internal studies of color and shape gave me the opportunity to understand myself and begin to re-examine certain words, such as: creation – creative occupation, artist, I am a painter – I paint, art – technique – construction, etc., etc.
My works have traveled to many parts of the world, as have my studies.

I consider "Painting in the Service of Evolution" to be my goal for the
future in the field.

"Memories 1"

1) What does art mean to you (give us an example)?

First, I would like to note that I capitalize the word "Art" to distinguish it.
So, for me, art is the force that opens paths to satisfy a constant hunger of our existence, beyond that of the stomach!
For example, no matter how delicious the food was, I would continue after the physical pleasure.
to yearn for something else that was initially undefined, and therefore agonizing. But when I found my own path, the journey took on a different form, something like a deep breath of glory.

2) Is there a message or feeling that you always want to convey through your painting?

I always conveyed something, even when my choice of subjects was unconscious and intensely emotional.
Now I convey experiential knowledge in the simplest way possible.

3) Do you paint more based on emotions or logic/composition?

Now emotion is set aside. Even my joy in everything I do springs from the center of my heart. I would call it conscious work rather than cold logic.
My goal is for my works to convey my lived knowledge—as I said before—so that they are constant expressions of wishes as a minimal contribution to changing the "image of life"!

"Get up, I've got you."
