Anima Triste are coming for the first time to the city of Larissa as part of the Sound Valley Festival on April 12th at Skyland.
Anima Triste is a band that moves between the darkwave/post punk/dark rock spectrum and was started in 2014 in Athens by Mad Sad, Greg Dirt, Gus Black and Jimmy C.
In 2016, they released their first diy album of the same name "Anima Triste" with 10 original compositions.
Always restless in their musical pursuits, the band released in 2019 the first double single titled UOY and the second track their unique instrumental track "Almost There". The second full length album titled "Humanity" came a little later with the band enriching their sound with cinematic synths, samples, and extra acoustic and electric guitars and 10 songs of dark romanticism.
In 2020 and just before the covid lockdown the band's original drummer Jimmy C resigned from Anima Triste and Jim Gadd took his place, taking over not only the drums but also the production of Anima Triste's upcoming third album. Shortly afterwards in the beginning of 2020 the original bassist Gus Black will leave the band leaving a big gap which Billy K tried to fill in and he left the band in the fall of 2022. Anima Triste would release their second single "River of the Dancing Gods" at the end of the same year in a collaboration with members of occult gothic metallers OPENED PARADISE and Anima Triste.
In 2023 she started with the release of her third full length album entitled "Alone" with 9 songs this time, she came back to the Greek audience with her first tour.
In 2024 the original bassist of the band, Gus Black, returned to Anima Triste, thus ending the search for a member. 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Anima Triste and the band has plans to revisit the Greek audience with a 10 Year Anniversary Tour.
Anima Triste in their 10 years of continuous presence have played over 60 concerts in Athens and the provinces and have stood deservedly by the side of big names from abroad such as Garden of Delight, Whispering Sons, Grave Pleasures and Feeding Fingers.
Currently Anima Triste are preparing the material that will be their fourth album
