Shift towards meaning. A bit of a vague title but we'll get there slowly. I've been involved in music almost all my life. I started playing guitar when I was 7 and went through many phases. In high school I decided that I wanted to follow the path of a musician and took the national exams so I could get into a music department and specialize in jazz performance. Now finishing school I slowly discovered that there was something else I had a hankering to do. All the academization of music created a great aversion to what I was going to do. It was as if I had lost the essence of playing music which to me is nothing more than enjoying what you are doing and making sure it is as authentic and honest as possible. So I went through the indie music stream. Artists like Mac DeMarco, Men I trust and Tame Impala filled my day and gave me so much inspiration that I decided to carve my own path as an indie artist. Somehow I found my meaning and my purpose. So drink cool beers and listen to indie now in this warm summer weather that is coming and always create meaningful moments that you will look back on for the rest of your life!
