The Velvet Underground & Nico

It was 1967 and music was changing the world, as they said, the hippie era, and something special was about to happen. A mysterious band was preparing a unique record, and its story would change the world.

This album featured a unique German singer named Nico, who was also a model. Although falsetto on a few songs, on "Sunday Morning," she found the perfect combination. The album had Andy Warhol's handmade production work and a cover artwork that made many people think. It was a banana sticker, yellow and tweaked, peeling off and revealing the inside of the banana.

Those who dared to keep their copies of this temptation were worth thousands in a few years, because this record was a treasure. At first, though, it sold next to nothing, just 30,000 copies.

Brian Eno where he was a founding member of the band Roxy Music had told,In the approximately 30,000 people who got him, many decided to form their own bands. And so, a revolution in the music scene began.

With the passage of time, this album became a source of inspiration for many bands that followed, such as Roxy Music, David Bowie. What initially seemed like a failure, turned into a music legend.

And when I put that record on today, the magic is still alive. Tracks like "Venus in Furs" "Venus in Leather" from the short story by Leopold von Mazoch a creepy piece very much ahead of its time, take me back to a time when music was free and innovative. And Lou Reed along with John Cale with Nico were all together on the first album from the second album onwards they started to scatter.

Thus, a small band that sold a few copies managed to leave its mark on music history, making this album a recognizable legend that still survives today.
