I'm Kostas, although most people now know me (?) as TheFlip. I was born in 1997 in Athens. At the age of twelve I started to work with the μουσική, με classical guitar, but the bass soon won me over. The bass is the my basic instrument and the one that has accompanied me in all the bands I've been in, as in Virgin Mary’s Eyes, where for years I've been in charge of the "low frequencies". By 2021, by the way, I was "forced" to work with all the instruments of a rock band, when I released my first album "Last Night Sins and Morning Cigs”. Since then and until today I have been exploring the sound I really love, while struggling with all the challenges that a solo musician faces. My music belongs to the realm of Indie rock and the Alt-rock, although I prefer to let my musical influences intertwine and lead to a result that doesn't necessarily fit into a mould, but that expresses me aesthetically.

the project “TheFlip” is going stronger and stronger, for sure, but also experimentally, with the aim, from my point of view, to talk about things I don't see anyone talking about and to honour a musical period and culture that many know but few understand. Thisperiod we are in the studio with my partners and we're working on the second album, at the same time of course we release and some singles, just because I feel that now is the right time for these pieces. The first of this series of tracks is coming out soon, entitled "Can’t Get Outta Here”.
