Christos Cesarios Antoniadis

Artist (Sculptor-Painter)

Born in Larissa, he is married to the former pole vault champion Marilia Kilikala and they have two children Florina and Anna.
Since 2010 he lives and creates permanently with his family in Santorini.
From a young age he was enchanted and trained in the paths of art by his grandmother Florina (from Caesarea in Cappadocia, hence the name Cesarios in honour of the lost homelands) who was a painter and his father Kallinikos who was a woodcarver.
1991 Attends woodcarving classes at the traditional school of Kalambaka.
1994 -1998 He attends classes at the School of Fine Arts in Thessaloniki in the sculpture department with George Tsaras. At the same time he attends courses in hagiography at the Georgiadis school.
1996-1997 He was a member of the art team of the European Capital of Culture (Thessaloniki 1997)
1999- 2002 He creates with friends, a music and visual arts multi-purpose space in Larissa, B.LIVE, having the visual curatorship.
2002 -2010 Creates and implements the standard wood and pressed paper sculpture workshop of the Municipality of Larissa, one of the only ones in the Municipality of Larissa in Greece and every year they participate in festivals and exhibitions with the students of the workshops (Athens Gazi, Thessaloniki Lazariston Monastery, Volos-Trikala-Karditsa Pan-Thesalian exhibition, Larissa Pinios Festival & Chatzigiannneio, Agiokampos Sea Festival.)
2004 -2010 He was part of the working group of the Pinios Festival of the Municipality of Larissa, having the field of visual curation and decoration.
2003-04-05 He collaborates with the Arts Theatre and directs the performances (Emigrades, American Buffalo).
2005 Works in Vienna, Austria at a painting-sculpture symposium where he also attends classes.
2006-07-08 He collaborates with the puppet theatre (TIRITOBA) and Sophia Foutzopoulou and builds the sets and puppets for the puppet theatre's performances
2007-09 Design and creation of the Visual Carnival of the Municipality of Larissa
2007- 08 She is a member of the team of Sophia Foutzopoulou who create the TIRITOBA Puppet Theatre Museum of the Municipality of Larissa, unique in Greece.
2008-09 Collaborates with the cultural association CHORIAMVO designing the logo and the visual intervention of the space, while creating an art workshop.
2008-09-10 He completes in his studio in Larissa the series of paintings on the theme (VITHOLOGI bithology) which was based on Santorini and the lost Atlantis and transfers the exhibitions in Thessaloniki, Athens, Larissa, Rome and Valencia, Spain.
2007-08 At the same time he is an active member of the Larissa Photography Club, having participated in exhibitions and photography competitions in Greece and abroad.
2010 He moves and creates his studio in Santorini where he lives permanently with his family until today.
2012 to 2016 Creation of wood and pressed paper sculpture workshops under the auspices of the Region of the Aegean and the KEK Gennimatas in the area of Thera District, with the participation of more than 400 students.
2013-14 -15 Exhibitions of the students of the Santorini workshops at the ESTIA of Pyrgos kalisti.
2013 -14 Participation in Santorini Biennale - 2nd Biennial of Modern Art
2014 Participation in the contemporary art exhibition ARTTHIRA in Santorini.
2013-14-15-16-17-18 Participation in the annual painting exhibition of St. George of Oia.
2017 Creates, founds with a group of artists and is president, the ART.t.o.s (art team of Santorini) unique in the Cyclades with workshops in the arts (painting - sculpture - woodcarving - handicrafts and visual arts), with children's - teenage - adult classes and participating students up to now 480 people, with presentations and exhibitions every year from the adult classes.
2018 -19 Member of the Culture Committee of the Municipality of Thira and Thirassia
2018-19 In the Children's Biennale of Japan, art.t.o.s represented art.t.o.s with the support of the Municipality of Thera, with a group of students from the children's painting classes in the 20th Biennial World Children's Art Exhibition, and won the Kanagawa prize for a student's work entitled "Traditional festival of Santorini", presenting Santorini to the world with her own childlike view and standing out among 27.599 children.
2019 Participation in the Municipality of Thera's student festival with 72 students from the children's painting - woodcarving - sculpture departments
2020 Participation and representation in the national competition of children's painting organized by the Museum of Cycladic Art with 98 children of the painting departments of art.t.o.s with the support of the Municipality of Thera and won the 1st prize of one student and 2 students among the distinguished among 26.500
2020 In the Children's Biennale of Japan, for the second time, art.t.o.s is represented by the Municipality of Thera, with a group of students from the children's painting departments in the 21st Biennial World Children's Art Exhibition, winning the Kanagawa Prize for 3 students among 32,000 entries from all over the world.
2021 Participation and representation in the national competition of children's painting organized by the Museum of Cycladic Art with 112 children of the painting departments of art.t.o.s with the support of the Municipality of Thera and 2 students were awarded with first prize and 4 students among the winners among 16.000 children.
2022 At the Children's Biennale of Japan, for the third time, art.t.o.s is represented by the Municipality of Thera, with a group of students from the children's painting departments in the 22nd Biennial World Children's Art Exhibition, winning the Kanagawa Prize for 9 students among 43,000 entries from all over the world.
2023 Participation in the contemporary art exhibition ARTTHIRA in Santorini entitled white stone
Today many of his works (painting, sculpture, woodcarving, photography) adorn public and private buildings, hotels, restaurants, bars and galleries in many parts of the world!!
