Ghost B.C.: The Next Big Thing (OAKA Athens Olympics Complex 25-06-2023)

The beginning of my concert "obligations" started off strong for this year. The first stop was at AthensRocks at the Olympic Stadium. The headliners, Ghost, along with their compatriots, Candlemass, and Athenians Typhus. Finally, the frame was filled explosively by announcing Rotting Christ a few weeks before the festival.
Our descent to Athens would be via a tour which was intended to attend this particular concert. On the way everyone was guessing which songs Ghost would be performing, while I had a small idea by doing the appropriate searches from their previous set lists beforehand. And additionally they were putting out the number on which time it is to attend Rotting in person, as for that I had no reason why it would be my first as with commitments and stuff my opportunities to see them live had been cancelled.
Let's take things from the beginning with Typhus. A speed metal band gave us a nice half hour presenting their album with nice riffs and screams.
Then we had Candlemass with many kilos of experience. It was basically going to be the first time I'd heard them in general as I hadn't heard any of their songs. I was lucky though because I was on the right side of the stage where Lars Johansson was standing where he was wiggling his fingers up and down on his jet-black Gibson guitar making the crowd mesmerized by the solos he was strumming.

As for Rotting Christ they did what they know how to do very well, whoring everything by making an entrance with "Against the Demon Self". And setlist banging your head up and down for an hour straight, two days of my neck hurting.

Now it was time for the headliners. The first song from their latest album, "Imperium", kicked things off. Playing it on tape kicked off the show. Towards the end of the song Nameless Ghouls joined the stage. We all waited to hear the riff of "Kaisarion" to make a mess. And in he comes, after the screaming and sparklers through the smoke pops Papa Emeritus IV. Their stage presence was awesome. With the Ghouls either standing still like a mannequin before the song started or getting wild during the song and starting the solos, breaking Papa's nerves by making him leave the stage. We also had the presence of his father, Papa Nihil, who came from the "underworld" to bang out a saxophone solo on the track "Miasma". Their show ended with confetti of banknotes being thrown to the audience as if the bench had been opened and Papa telling us to go eat now the show is over, but we stayed there shouting for him to come back out. After a while he came out in a shiny jacket telling us what are you sitting down the show is over, now I'm sitting inside eating a burger and calamari, ok what can we say that's how foreigners do it here, "get the fuck out" he told us. After much haggling we booked them to play but three songs and then we will get the fuck out. They closed with "Kiss The Go-Goat" and their big hits, "Dance Macabre" and "Square Hammer". With the curtain coming down and
