The Sound – From the Lions Mouth
In the 90s, when record sellers were still the primary destination for music lovers, there was one record that remained in the legend of the quest, one record that shone like a star in the obscure collection of music history. It was the sequel to "Jeopardy," an album that flooded listeners with its mesmerizing music, a total listening experience from start to finish.
The challenging notes continued where Joy Division had left them, adding a depth and an emotional dangerous beauty to their sound. Although the album was one of the masterpieces of its time, it didn't have the wide appeal it deserved.
In the 90s, when I was a kid, the record store selection was limited, but Sound's music was a must-have. Their first album dominated the record stores back then. As I grew older, highlighting their importance, their album became an integral part of my collection.
Time passed, and the album took its place among the elite of post-punk records. Though influential, it remained hidden, an object of desire for collectors. The track "Winning" became an anthology, a madcap track that continues to etch the memory of every listener.
Although I don't have it in my collection yet, this album remains a precious stone in the dark sand of music, always there to be discovered by those who seek true beauty beyond the spotlight.
